Created in collaboration with Rodney District Council and supported by Tourism Auckland, the Manaakitanga Awards shine a spotlight on businesses and individuals of distinction to receive the recognition they deserve.
The Manaakitanga Awards aim to drive development of the Rodney District’s hospitality, tourism and local food supply sectors by promoting:
Excellence - celebrating success
Visitation - promoting the achievement of finalists and winners
Sustainability - promoting and celebrating the use of sustainable business practices
Local - promoting and celebrating local products and suppliers
Manaakitanga is a central pillar of the New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2015. The Maori word Manaakitanga literally means hospitality and is an invitation to experience the very best that we have to offer.
